Fancy Dress Costumes

 We live in a world with many different cultures, beliefs, religions and views on life, where people are accepted for who they are, what they believe in and in this case what clothes they decide to wear!

Fancy dress has been part of special occasions and parties for many years and its popularity has grown at a rapid rate. Not so long ago many people would make fancy dress costumes out of whatever they could find around their homes, whether it be cutting up old shirts or chopping the legs off an old pair of jeans to create the Halloween look, the chances are we have all done it at some stage in our lives! I always remember as a child using bin bags as witches capes and making holes in them for our arms and legs - oh the memories:)

Then came the era of fancy dress rental which basically meant you would go into a fancy dress shop, choose a costume and rent it out for a desired amount of days before returning it. Buying costumes was out of the question back then as they where expensive or the ones available weren't very good quality.

These days you have a wide choice of many companies offering fancy dress costumes and the quality and price isn't bad either! the prices have gone down dramatically over the years with ever increasing demand from consumers, so it is now just as cost effective to buy a costume as it is to rent one, and the benefits of buying is you don't have to be worrying all night about tearing or accidentally spilling something down it.
